I have been thinking for a while about how easy it is to pick up negative energy and fear from news websites and other media sources. We don’t have a TV anymore which is great as that rules out that outlet. I do like to down-load videos sometimes – as long as they are rated for children under 12 I’m normally ok!
I’m not saying that any of these sites are intentionally trying to be negative or to create fear, rather that this is a by-product or side effect of what they do. That said, some of the articles placed by external sources may have that intent behind them whilst others are designed to generate fear.
It’s also interesting that even news sites that are there to bring out the truth and have a positive role to play pick up the negative vibration of bad news too.
They no doubt all also capture a certain level of fear vibration and negative energy from the people reading the site either in reaction to what they are reading or because they arrived at the site with this vibe.
Yet, it’s pretty hard if not impossible to cut oneself off from daily life and most of us need to know to a degree what is going on in the world even if it is just for work.
To get an idea of the potential impact of surfing the Web in this way, I dowsed the negative/fear vibration quotient of some popular news sites. These are graded out of ten with ten being the most negative.

What can we do to both protect ourselves from picking up something specific and nasty as well as not letting surfing news sites drag down our general overall vibration as we go through our ascension work towards the fifth dimension?Here are some things that work for me.
Tips for avoiding negative vibrations from news sites
1. Put your left hand up (palm facing forward) in front of the screen as you look at a site.
2. Imagine that you are not looking at news but a fictional non-reality!
3. Spray space clearing spray around your PC – the Australian Bush range have a good one for this.
4. Put crystals on your desk to help absorb the energy – black tourmaline is good for this sort of thing.
5. Or try aromatherapy oil such as Frankincense which is cleanser of the body, aura, psychic planes and environment and removes all negative influences. Neil’s Yard do one as a facial mist spray but I use it for this as well.
6. Play calming or positive music or a mantra at same time (louder works better).
7. Scan headlines without being draw into the content wherever possible.
8. Be aware that “celebrity” gossip sections are usually of low vibration as well.
9. Don’t look at the news before you have to do anything creative.
10. Try to avoid news sites before bed or at the beginning of the day when they make more of an impression.
